COVID was his chance to unite the country against a common enemy.


The idiot blew it by dividing the country instead. Look how Bush rode 9/11 to reelection.

That said, the election would have never been easy. Too much disapproval from the other side. Furthermore, a change in Trump's behavior might have de energized his base. Trump did a great job of maximizing his base turnout in the election. He did that by polarizing the nation. There's too many variables to predict the outcome.
